How NFT.NYC 2022 Speakers were selected

One of our core values at NFT.NYC is to give the Community a voice and put as many speakers on stage as possible.

All interested speakers must submit an application, and are selected based on:

  1. Their thought leadership and passion for NFTs
  2. Celebrity status is not a criterion
  3. Product Pitches are not approved for Panels or 10 min Talks

Preference is also given to early submissions:

  1. Round 1 – 359 of 406 applications were approved (88%)
  2. Round 2 – 378 of 521 applications were approved (73%)
  3. Round 3 – 413 of 702 applications were approved (58%)
  4. Round 4 –197 of 1,366 applications were approved (14%)

NFT.NYC is about builders and NFT thought leaders.

How NFT.NYC 2022 Panels and Programming are built

Programming 1,500+ speakers across 7 stages for the 3-day event takes about 4–6 weeks.

The programming team considers:

  1. Categorizing speakers into tracks
  2. Grouping like topics into panels
  3. Alternating Panels and 10 min talks wherever possible

We will announce the NFT.NYC 2022 program a week before the event.

Announcing the new NFT.NYC “Unconference”

There were so many speaker applications that we would like to have approved.

This year we have introduced an “Unconference” during NFT.NYC 2022.

What this means:

We will be hosting two open stages for the first time at NFT.NYC 2022.

It will be first-come, first-served to register for your Unconference session.

Session times will be published for each topic category (e.g., NFTs and Law).

What to know about the “Unconference”:

  1. You will talk on stage
  2. You can bring up to 2 of your friends on stage
  3. Speaking times will be 10 minutes max
  4. No product pitches
  5. No slides or presentation deck

Watch our website and Twitter for updates on how to join the “Unconference” at NFT.NYC 2022.
